Treasurer Role

The job of Treasurer involves working closely with the Executive and Secretary of the Dubbo Show Society with regards to the management of the Society’s cashflow and financials required by such a large not for profit organisation such as the Dubbo Show Society.

Having run a successful Plumbing business here in Dubbo over a period of 45 years and subsequent retirement I felt I had skills to give something back to the community via the Dubbo Show Society.

My involvement with the Society began approximately 4 years ago at the urging of a friend and more recently becoming Treasurer.

My time on board the committee has allowed me to interact with some wonderful people from all walks of life and all ages and is not all work but also a lot of fun.

A huge amount of work is required prior, during and after the show and the committee and volunteers put in a lot of time and energy to ensure The Show is one of the best in the state and one the Dubbo community can be proud of.

I highly encourage people to either join the committee or engage as a volunteer to help keep this great event going for years to come.
