Chief Steward: Kelly Lovell
Entries: 250 head of all breeds
The aim of the cattle section is to encourage people with stud cattle to enter more and to encourage new stud owners and breed societies to enter, show their cattle, be seen, so the cattle industry can grow.
The more cattle entered the more visitors will attend and therefore we can attract more volunteers as there is a large number of competitors from all over the state and interstate. We encourage the involvement of the younger people in the way of ring stewards and also a junior heifer show that consists of a paraders and junior judging competitions. By being a part of the cattle committee you will make some great friends and industry related contacts. The show offers all classes for all breeds of beef cattle and we encourage all to visit the cattle section. The committee or competitors would be more than happy to answer any questions the public may have. The interbreed competition is the highlight of our show. This is for all the grand champions to compete in an interbreed class to be in the running to become the supreme exhibit of the show and take home not only the title but a large cash prize kindly donated by one of our many great sponsors.
The committee also have a keen interest in helping the youth further their interests in the beef industry by running competitions to allow them the chance to compete at zone finals and then to make the finals which are held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
We as a committee enjoy the fun and the friendships formed and look forward to the show each year. We encourage any person that would like to be involved in the show movement to contact the show office for more information.
